Charitable Activities
In addition to its support of numerous local charities, Con-way sponsors an annual Charitable Giving Campaign – supporting such charities as the United Way, American Red Cross and the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. Employees who wish to donate can make a one-time, lump-sum donation, or choose to have a designated amount automatically deducted from their paychecks each pay period.
Each year, Con-way Truckload holds the Truckloads of Treasures holiday giving campaign to benefit the local Salvation Army in Joplin, MO. In 2010, employees raised nearly $70,000, which was used to purchase gifts during a one-night shopping spree where hundreds of employees shopped for area children and senior citizens.
